Do you offer virtual therapy sessions?

Yes. New Path Counseling offers both virtual and in-person sessions, including intensive formats for clients ready to dive deeper into their healing journey.

What ages do you work with?

We work with children ages 4–12, adolescents ages 13–17, adults, seniors, and families, including first responders.

What is EMDR therapy and how does it work?

EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) is an evidence-based therapy that helps the brain safely reprocess painful or traumatic experiences so they no longer feel overwhelming or defining. It's used to address PTSD, complex trauma, negative self-beliefs, and attachment wounds.

What insurance does New Path Counseling accept?

We accept Aetna, BlueCross BlueShield, Cigna, UnitedHealthcare, Oxford, and Oscar Health. Contact our office to verify your specific benefits before your first session.

Where is New Path Counseling located?

We're located at 825 E Highway 199 Suite 102, Springtown, TX 76082, serving Springtown, Weatherford, Azle, Parker County, and the greater Fort Worth area.

Is New Path Counseling accepting new clients?

Yes, we're currently accepting new clients for both virtual and in-person appointments.

What should I do if I'm having a mental health emergency?

As an outpatient mental health practice, we're unable to handle emergency situations. If you are in crisis, please call or text 988 (Suicide & Crisis Lifeline), call 911, or go to your nearest emergency department.

What kind of therapy is best for children?

We use a strength-based approach for child and adolescent therapy, along with expressive arts and play therapy techniques such as sand trays, art, and collage — especially helpful when children have difficulty verbalizing their feelings.

Do you offer clinical supervision for other therapists?

Yes. Amber is an LPC-Supervisor and RPT-Supervisor offering clinical consultation and supervision to help clinicians navigate complex cases, refine their approach, and prevent burnout.
